Senior Research Specialist (Agriculture)
Mr. Gopal Bahadur K. C. PhD, born in December 27, 1957 in Sundarbazar 6, Khatri-Thanti, Dhodesingh, Lamjung, resides in Tokha 9, Gongabu. He completed SLC in 2029 from Tarkughat, Lamjung, IScAg in 2037 and BScAg in 2042 as a “Gold Medalist” from Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS), TU. MScAg and PhD in Plant Pathology from Georg-August University, Goettingen, Germany during 1997 and 1999, respectively.
He served 33 years as a Professor in the department of plant pathology at IAAS, TU and is serving now as a Professor (Ad.) at dean office, IAAS, TU. During the carrier, he worked as a farm manager, hostel warden, department and subject matter committee heads, and campus chief at IAAS, Sundarbazar, Lamjung and Asst. Dean at IAAS, dean office, Kirtipur. He has published one Laboratory Manual of Horticulture, 9 research articles as a main author, 22 research articles as a member and 8 agriculture related writings as a single author. Mr. K. C. has served as a chairman of advisory committee of 33 MScAg students and as a member of 9 PhD students.
Mr. K. C. was a senator of Pokhara University from 2065 to 2068 as an academician. He is a life member of NDRI since 2010 and. Academician at NAST since 2012 as an agriculture expert. Mr. K. C. has visited India, Germany, France, England, Scotland, Netherland, USA, Taiwan, China, Japan, Thailand and South Korea, and is fluent in English and good in Hindi and German languages. Mr. K. C. believes in truth and impartiality for human welfare and national development.

He has expertise in plant disease assessment, diagnosis and management, agricultural surveys, integrated pest management, impact assessment, economic analysis in agricultural production, mycotoxin analysis in foods and feeds and agricultural research proposal and research article evaluation.
